Worship Leader: Melissa McConnell
Come, let us sing for joy to the LORD; let us shout aloud to the Rock of our salvation. Let us come before Him with thanksgiving and extol Him with music and song." Psalm 95:1-2
We believe worship is our whole being adoring, honoring and fearing the Lord and it is God who calls us to worship. Therefore, we must worship in Spirit (led by the Spirit of God ministering to our spirits as we offer all we are) and in Truth (according to God’s truth revealed in Scripture not our own thoughts). Worship is so much more than music and singing, but singing is a very special part of our worship.
In our worship gatherings, the Lord is the ‘audience’ and the congregation is the ‘main singer.’ The way we choose songs, organize the sound and speak to the people should all be aimed at encouraging joyful participation from the heart and with all our voices. Music is also a necessary means of discipleship; we use melodies to teach eternal truths to our people.
We believe we should seek to always use a diverse group of people and instrumentation to lead and share songs with our church. There is a place in our gatherings for hymns, choruses, new songs, old songs, group songs and solo songs.
Come worship with us, as we praise our Great God and King, in music and in song.
